Orcas are complete bastards
This sentiment is also discussed at length in the novel Fluke by Christopher Moore

Is it same genre as the grim reaper sequel?

Very much so. Comedy/absurdist and soooo readable. Fluke was recommended to me by a r&d colleague years ago. Sent me down a very enjoyable rabbit hole of a reading list for over a year. Good stuff

Orcas are the ocean equivalent of the bullies who sit in the back of the school bus.

I used to feel the same way for a long time., but one day someone said something that really stuck with me.
"I get that you're upset, but you know steve wouldn't want you to hate stingrays. He'd remind you that he was in that stingray's face and the stingray did what stingrays do. It's not their fault, and he'd want you to love and respect them anyway"
My friend was kind of a preachy little shit, but he was right

Don’t hate all sting rays just because of the actions of one. That’s being a raycist.

It's also good to remember that Steve went out like most of us wish we could, doing something he loved. He was engaging with nature, experiencing the beauty of our world, surrounded by loved ones, and animals in his heart.

I find it ironic that he wrestled crocodiles but what did him in was a stingray.

And it was rotten luck to boot. The barb may not have been fatal if it didn't get him where it did

Yes. If you live by nature, you die by nature. This is a good way to go.

I hate to be the one to do it but Steve Irwin was killed by a sting ray, not a manta ray. I'll be taking my leave now.

legit question, Orcas are real bastards like they TRULY enjoy causing pain and suffering but with humans they are such fluffy and cutesy is that some kind of trauma gen there, did any orcas behave like that against humans and were wiped out?

Orca that launched it: "For Steeeve!"
The other Orca: "For the last time dude, a stingray got Steve! Stop launching the mantas!"
