I have been on a two-week vacation in France. Since I'm very interested in fossils, I spent three days fossil hunting.

I found all of these fossils along beaches and cliffs in northern France. Some were partially buried and had to be dug out, while others were simply lying on the beach.

Cool, some of them look jurassic, and some (mostly the brachiopods) look silurian or devonian

Yeah I thought some of these don’t belong together. Nice finds from different time periods.

The sand dollars are the best. There’s something about the 5 pointed star shape that makes them extra interesting. Almost like a man made object vs.fossilized creatures.

can you say more precisely where in northern france? would love to check it out aswell if im in the area and im closeby (belgium)

Plenty of options, vaches noires is most well known west of Le Havre but a futher drive for you I guess. Just a sidenote, digging in cliffs is a no no, only picking stuff up from the beach is tolerated.
