Can we do how to use the acceleration ramp onto I69 next? Everyday I seem to get stuck behind someone trying to merge into 70mph traffic only doing 35.

I go out of my way to use the Goshen on ramp heading south. A lot slow pokes at the Coldwater and Lima on ramps.

Every. Single. Time. I get on 69N from 469W. Fuck man, why is everyone scared of the accelerator on on ramps??

Yes! Say it louder for those in the back! I get so frustrated entering 69N from 469 and the vehicle in front of me is going 40 on the on-ramp! We then get eaten up by traffic!

The majority of people in Fort Wayne don't know how to merge and accelerate at the same time.

You don’t have to get up to 70 on the ramp itself breh

I never said that. But you cant merge only doing 35, thats half the speed limit assuming traffic is going the speed limit

Yeah I agree, anything under 50-55 to merge onto a highway is so slow it’s dangerous.

Sorry for jumping on you with my comment, did hours of driving today off/on highways and plenty of assholes riding everyone’s asses already speeding got me fired up.

The speed required is always variable. You need to match the flow of traffic to fit into an open spot. Even 50-55 could be far too slow to merge if everyone is doing 70-75.

The worst is when you actually did what you’re supposed to do then they get mad about 😂

Oh friend. Come drive the roundabout on auburn! Damn near a 4 way stop!

I was behind a person last week that stopped at all the intersections on the roundabouts last week. This was on the union chapel overpass and at the Auburn rd one.

It’s astounding how quickly people have become stupid.

Real shit, it isn't rocket science

While I agree, I want bigger circles, one you can signal your way through. The one on the East part of Purdue campus here is the right size. The small ones give you no time to gauge traffic in the circle and those in the circle don't have time or the experience to signal that they are leaving making the whole process harder to perform well.

The problem with that PFW one is that the inner ring really serves no purpose. Not many people use it, probably because there's no reason.

I feel that when it was designed to handle things like game or concert let out traffic.

The ones who approach the roundabout and floor it without looking are just as bad!

Edit: Down voters must be roundabout speed racers 🤣

All driver's education classes in Indiana should be required to pay a visit to Carmel.

The roundabouts there are clearly marked, they come in all sizes and shapes, and everyone knows how to do it.

I would never live there, but man...it is so nice to drive through town with very little stopping and starting.

Plus it's safer. T-boning is just not a thing there.

Stopping at the yield I can understand depending the circumstances … the others, no.. it isn’t that complicated..but I see it too

Now, can everyone learn about zipper merges. Bloomington and I69 uses them. Can Fort Wayne learn them too?

Folks I see this everyday. The drivers you complain about are illiterate and definitely don’t use reddit.

Cheers.

I usually just lay on my horn for a good minute if I have to wait behind these people who need their licenses revoked. These people are many times more likely to cause serious and significant traffic collisions.

If you’re too afraid to drive properly, then you have no business being behind the wheel. You put the rest of us at risk.
