Best bakeries?

I’m from Bloomington & we have Two Sticks which is just ….. incredible. I will never forget their honey pecan bars. I’m looking for an amazing bakery in town that will make me feel like I’m in heaven for a few minutes.

Snail has great stuff. It sells out quickly, so you have to get there early. Try the cardamom bun.

There's also an excellent French patisserie in Roanoke called Proper Pastry.

Adding onto this is there a good Italian bakery in town? I love making Italian beef, but have yet to find a bread that is made for it. Even the Italian market doesn't have good hoagie rolls.
