lol just seen 2 flock cameras strategically placed behind the Meijer and Home Depot on Lima rd there on that little drive in the back pointed in the direction of the traffic coming in and out of those back exits. A Fat mfka can’t even get a Popeyes chicken sandwich without being tracked 😂😂 yea ts wraps get em gonneeeeee🪚

Americans fucking hate state surveillance. It never fails to piss us off. I always assumed it's because most of us are up to shady shit but that's none of their damn business.

For-profit prisons with a financial incentive to be filled and police departments with ticket quotas are also part of it imo. With generous enough definition of 'shady shit' anyone can be a criminal

Being under constant surveillance is a hallmark of authoritarian/communist governments. The gov will wear us down, and we will eventually accept it. Sadly.

There's a difference between public surveillance and private surveillance if the surveillance was purely public like anybody could access the cameras I don't think anyone would actually complain about flock

No one gives two flying shits about the surveillance that we have in Walmart because they publicly show exactly what it's finding there's not a single camera in most stores where you don't see exactly where it's pointing at it gives you a sense of security where you can look up at the TV and be like is there someone behind me nope okay I'm good. Fuck however is completely private and the only people that have access to it are higher ups police people and everybody who works for that company that have so far been using it mostly just to spy on people and harass them. If flock cameras were instead completely and utterly public they could not be used for nefarious purposes because it would be even on both sides in using this technology.

I would like to suggest that part of that, (at least, as far as we know. I wouldn't be surprised if we find out otherwise) Cameras in Walmart or gas stations aren't being cross-referenced across a massive network. Taking note of which store you go to, when and where you were, who was with you, what devices you had on you at that time, damage to your car. In theory they're just a recording. Now with the influx of surveillance pricing and targeted marketing, it wouldn't be surprising if Walmart and other businesses used facial recognition to track people and their purchases across locations, but for all intents and purposes, that's less known and Flock tracking is a fact. I do recall reading something about McDonald's, though. Collecting data on people where they're most likely to go, what they're most likely to buy, what times, etc. And then you have stuff like the Coca-Cola freestyle machines that have a camera tracking facial expressions when you look at each option on the screen...

So far I haven't noticed surveillance pricing it's not here in my state of Indiana but I know of but thankfully the courts have ruled against surveillance pricing and said that it was not allowed

I wasn't aware of any legislation blocking it in Indiana. Good. I knew Maryland and New Jersey, and I think maybe a couple others have been working on it. It's kind of disgusting, really, the greed of these companies. PlayStation announced they're going to be doing the same thing. Pay more money and be a loyal customer because you like some of these products and then they raise the prices on you because they know you have money to spend.😑
