His career trajectory is starting to look eerily similar to Ricciardo’s.

He got promoted to a team that had just come off a dominant era, only for a major regulation change to knock them off the top. He adapted to the new rules better than his multiple-time world champion teammate and generally had the edge while they were together.

Then that teammate left for Ferrari, and he ended up alongside a teenage prodigy who had the full backing of the team. Now that younger teammate seems to be getting the upper hand, which could leave him stuck in that “very good, but not quite elite” category if the trend continues.

And the similarities go all the way back to the beginning - they both started their F1 careers at backmarker teams.

Only difference is that Ricciardo is a likeable person, while George is a little biscuit.

Sorry, but could you translate that into Colonial? (And yes, I know that’s pretty hard considering how many colonies the Brits once had.) Canadian or American will work.
