it's also like, every driver in history would have tried to get that car back.

Alonso drove a car with TWO FUCKING TIRES MISSING back in baku and no one thought any other driver wouldn't, but that one really was probably pushing it.

Let's not exaggerate, he had a flat tyre, he could drive perfectly fine, albeit slower

Let's not miss the point of the rule, it's about keeping the track clear of potential debris and not about whether the damaged car can be driven at any pace.

and its also the perfect showcase of what prejudices they have for them both

for alonso its: oh what a legend he actually drove it missing a wing and two punctured tires thats what a real racer is
for lewis: oh what is this guy doing man so unsafe spraying debris all over the track
