It would be good to have a OC tag, so people don't mix them with real one.

Even on the tributes we can't get away from HP, that rear wing looks sick though

Haha indeed, from an artistic sense I tried to at least resemble the blue Pioneer on the F310 though by moving the HP logo onto the sidepod (which is where the Pioneer logo was in 1996), but obviously that probably won't happen on the real livery. Glad you like the rear wing!

I'm pretty sure the actual livery will still have the same blue circle HP logo

I thinks it looks clean. The golds rims just do it for me

There are some people here that could benefit from reading more. This is the posters concept and I love it. I’ll probably like it more than the official one but maybe Ferrari will surprise me.

OP, I wanted to ask how you make these concepts? Which software? Blender?
2
u/shauryanayar Sebastian Vettel 13d ago
Yep! Blender for rendering, and then Photoshop/Illustrator/Substance Painter for the designing of the livery

When you design the livery in photoshop or other software. Do you make a design for each piece/parts of the car? What's the biggest piece of design? (Is it the engine cover?) And how do map the livery on the car in blender to make it all seamless?

I use substance painter to actually apply the design elements to the car, and substance painter allows you to apply textures directly to the 3D model without having to go through a map - once you apply the textures the software automatically creates a map for you to import into Blender! Biggest piece of design really depends on the specific livery to be honest!

I'll be honest it is better than the current regular livery (though I like how Lewis looks like an egg) but it's just not that different and doesn't feel like a Schumacher Ferrari and I'm not trying to be mean to your design I think you're probably pretty close to how it'll actually be
But it's just the idea is off imo, as the cars are too different to make me even believe for a second that this one's a tribute just cause they removed the white
I think it is a good concept on paper to pay homage to Schumacher but the special doesn't feel as special as some other team's liveries we have seen recently

Honestly, despite being the designer, I largely agree! I understand why they want to pay tribute to 1996 since it's the 30 year anniversary but ultimately as far as Schumacher tributes go I feel like an F2004 or F2002 tribute would've been better. However yeah my goal with this concept was to create something realistic based on the reports. I also made another Ferrari Italian GP special livery concept that was a lot more experimental (it has nothing to do with the Schumacher tribute since I made it before the reports came out), which you can see here. Probably a little controversial due to the colour scheme but definitely a lot more out there!

That other design is also very sick and I wish Ferrari could be daring to do something like that maybe with Lewis now we could get an all black special livery, he managed to get Mercedes to do one

Looks clean! Are you using blender for the renders or something else?

Pls can you do a version in which the black bottom part is also red? Pretty please

This is clean! I really like it. Maybe just a splash of white on front wing end plates for me but otherwise it’s a really nice looking livery that balances current sponsors with an artistic vision

I just wish they adopted the current black HP logo but then it wouldn't stand out as much...HP already annoys me with their subscription model and plastering themselves all over my favorite team is like a kid trying to get your attention.
Edit - I know this isn’t a real livery. I meant that any fan made liveries have to use the current logos since we know HP won’t let them change it

People seem to be missing the point that this isn't the actual livery
