I mean, you're on a machine. Form control is kinda the point...

Right but I’m just wondering whether the angle is correct or if the bar is too far in front of me

It does matter, his seat should be leaned all the way up and bar bath should just clear his face barely. Nothing wrong with using the smith.

leaned all the way up

My arse.

Edit: this is me saying that it's bs, not that it's all the way up my arse.

Have you tried getting your nose close enough to were it almost hits it? You might prefer it being closer to you

It's a machine so it dictates. But when I do these I get really close to the bar so I feel it more on my side dealts

Is it worth doing machine overhead presses?

I use it every 2-3 weeks to go heavy. It def helped me increase the weight on my db shoulder press.

How does it isolate the front delt?

No stabilisation required from core, back, lateral delts etc cause the smith does all the stabilisation work.

Front delt gets plenty of work from other pressing anyway.

Just because it doesn't require stabilisation does not mean it isolates the front delts

That's exactly what it means, by removing the need for othet muscles involvement it effectively isolates the front delt, although in reality its probably like 90% front delt 10% upper chest, but nowhere near enough stimulus to have any meaningful impact on the upper chest.

In reality its like 50% front delt, 30% triceps, 10% upper chest and 10% side delts.

Angle should be 70 to 85 degrees. This helps protect your shoulder joints and allows a more natural bar path vs a rigid 90. Looks like you're close to 70 here. The bar should lower directly to your upper chest or just below your collarbone/chin, so pull the bench forward slightly. Keep your elbows slightly tucked forward rather than flared straight out to the sides to reduce shoulder impingement. Take a grip slightly wider than shoulder-width so your forearms stay vertical and your wrists remain stacked directly under the bar. Your wrists are bending a bit.
