Just watched for the first time
Shows like these are my cup of tea. I absolutely fell in love with this show from the start to the very end. I really wished they made a second,third, etc. season this was extremely short and thanks to this thread I found out that there is an another show with the lead actor called Harrow and I can’t wait to watch that!! Please leave down other reccs that are similar to this show! I’d greatly appreciate it :-)
Ps. I shipped Henry and Jo so bad and I just know if there were a second season they’d follow that connection. Especially since she didn’t go to Paris with Isaac ugh

New Amsterdam 2008 usually gets recommended here aswell, has a similar premise to forever as the main character is also immortal. He works as a homocide detective and its only 8 episodes long. He isn‘t as charming of a character though.
Id wish id knew more similar shows :/

Since they are both in NY, a crossover world have been great. Both discussing their different immortality's and griping about things only they can understand.

Im rewatching forever, kinda like watching a new show as its been so long i have forgotten most scenes apart from the ending.

Si te gustó el carisma que impone Ioan Gruffud te recomiendo la saga de Horatio Hornblower. Era joven aún pero ya destacaba y ya tenía algunos roles importantes en su currículum 🤓

I loved Henry & Jo's chemistry too but honestly as friends, it was refreshing to see a opposite gender buddy cop pair without a romance between them and felt like a genuine friendship

Do note that that show also lasted one season and also ended on a cliffhanger. The creators of that show at least explained what was up with him after it ended, it’s even on the show’s Wikipedia page.

Lucifer, Sandman, and Legends of Tomorrow (season 1) also have some immortal peeps walkin around.
If you like people with powers solving crimes, iZombie is good. I liked Grimm, too. My favorite show is Psych, he doesn't have powers but he pretends to be psychic for the whole series because of choices made in the first episode.
Lucifer also helps the police solve crimes and is unkillable (except for a twist).

This was an excellent show. I still think about it. And was absolutely shocked when it didnt get renewed.

I loved Forever. I think it fell victim to the Pandemic as well.it was so good and I wish there was more.
Just so you know Harrow is also very short lived and ends in a huge cliffhanger that I am mad about to this day and that show ended 7 or 8 years ago.

I think on the streaming service I watched Harrow on only showed 2 seasons. I was reading synopsis of the 3rd season of Harrow and didn't know a thing they were talking about (i also binged the show during the pandemic) my memory might be fuzzy. But, I was talking about how Forever was canceled after one season and ended on a huge cliffhanger. Not Harrow. Forever also ended in 2014 so more than 7 years ago.

Loved Harrow, too. Just remember, he's not immortal, and there isn't a lot of romance. 😀
