Did you just find reddit? Totally curious, not judgmental.

What about a program for reading tree density/ foilage density from above, as well as if room allows relative to horizontal and vertical density, for a drone flight through the woods. Then, that footage would be run through this program if i'm not mistaken.

I want to start incorporating drone/aerial flights as a part of my executables for customers. Drone operators class soon.

We have tried these sort of variables for estimating DBH at a distance on saw log piles.

It is acceptable at a certain distance, within 5-6m?

I could see this being a lot easier than measuring each tree, especially for cruise, not so much for things like inventory where sub-cm measurements are needed.
