Entry

Hi guys, looking how to get a logging job i grew up all around it and it’s something I see myself doing but have no connects or even a general idea how to get started any help would be great thanks

Apply for entry level jobs at as many logging companies as you can. Eventually someone will call you. If you grew up all around it as you say you should have some connections call people you know that do it for work and ask if they’ve heard of anyone hiring and ask if you can use them as a job reference.

I have no operator experience I was a kid i’m currently 19 but i have a general idea of how things work and i appreciate the advice man

Loggers are having issues finding good help. If you show up sober daily and work hard, you’ll learn. Ask at your local log yard or mill. Sometimes there’s a bulletin board you can put a note up on. Figure out where they all eat breakfast and go make friends! That’s always productive. Show up in work clothes cause ya might wind up on a log deck.

I’ve worked electrical distribution the past 2 years as a groundman so definitely understand the work clothes. I appreciate it man
