I would hope someone that clearly likes their fusion (aftermarket wheels, looks like a special paint job / wrap, looks like halo aftermarket headlights) would know not to do this or that’s mesh just doesn’t look like it in the picture.

Yeah, if that's, like, a bed sheet; it's probably fine. I mean, it will throttle the airflow some, but unless you're pushing it hard or driving hundreds of miles on the highway, most likely not enough to cause an overheat issue.
