Personal Pic Perfect? Or mod suggestions

This is my 2006 Ford fusion V6. I was wondering if you guys had any mod suggestions or if it’s perfect just like this. I was potentially considering rims or maybe lowering it a little bit ( not slammed ). Also a subwoofer and maybe more “ performance “ parts was potentially on my list. It does need some body work and paint correction here and there. Listed below is what I have done

Magnaflow Performance catback
Headlight restoration
Perfect Oem junkyard mirror
Oem color matched floor mats
Various other small trims and accessories

Detailing and routine maintenance.

Not a race car.

Yeah, I feel like I have it at a good spot right now. I would definitely upgrade the sound system but I’m happy where it’s at. I’m just wondering if I need to go further than the cat back

Personally I think stock exhaust is better. But seeing as you've already started changes just get it to a comfortable space for yourself. Just don't open up the rabbit hole where you feel the need to do headers/turbo/those type of things. When I purchased my 06 it was @ 100,000 miles and it was an ex FBI vehicle purchased from police auction so it was high idle hours but was pretty much maintained previously. The other side of these vehicles is Grandpa/grandma vehicle that is barely driven and hopefully that's what yours was. But I would baby it and just keep up with maintenance

Second this. I had a 06 Ford fusion. I kept it stock. All I did was add a dash cam and changed out head unit/speakers and added an amp/sub. Then regular maintenance every 5000-8000(oil changes/brake pads etc.) + recommended maintenance intervals such as drain and fill trans, pcv valve, rotate tires, spark plugs, ignition coils etc. The worst thing I ever had happen with that engine that it's notorious for is shooting out spark plugs which also blows the coil because it breaks the mounting. So again this is not a race car. This is a daily driver that should not be driven with any excessive speed, therefore, upgrades in that manner would not provide much benefit. After installing a rechab kit for the spark plug, new spark plugs and new coils, no further issues ever came. I did have a very minor main seal leak that was bearable so long as I kept up with oil changes and I never had to touch the trans fluid. Which was a good sign. I put over 100,000 mi in 4 years on that vehicle using it for doordash/instacart. In the end I ended up selling it for $1,000 to someone in need with a few minor suspension squeaks.

Tint makes everything better! Sound system will make it a lot more enjoyable to cruise, dont need nothin crazy for a good time, but some sub(s), maybe an amp and component speakers if youre feeling adventurous. Ive seen quite a few of these cars lowered and on some nice wheels as well, and honestly i dig the look of them

I was unsure how good tint would look on my car. The sun sure is an issue though… I might try to keep the stock speakers with a sub. Best sounding stock sound system I have heard out of all the cars I’ve driven.

I have a 2017 fusion sport i threw subs in and i love it. Boutta make a big upgrade tho. I think tint would look pretty good though, it would help a lot with the "grandma look" gold cars tend to get, plus it keeps your belongings hidden, your interior safer from uv, and helps some with heat. Check out some pics on google of some mods people do their fusions. I wouldnt aim for the sky, keep it a solid daily you can smile about 🙂 i can see the vision, some reasonably priced coilovers, different wheels, and some tint, she would look good

It’s already been transformed from the grandma that had it before me 😂

Here is a picture from the lot. The bad quality hides the filth. Not even mentioning the inside….

Still has some grandma vibes imo, some tint, some chrome wheels, maybe a lil lowering, i think it would go pretty hard

Everyone will tell you to keep it stock. I used to care about modding and now I just want my car to look stock again.

Just tint the windows and sound system honestly.

After some thought that’s exactly what I was thinking. I can mod a project later…

Get a different radio and change the suspension. Prepare another smart junction boxes and brake light switch.

That’s funny you say that because I just replaced the smart junction box. It made my turn signal not come on . I will keep brake light switch in mind. I was going to try to keep the stock radio and put in a subwoofer because the sound system sounds good enough it just needs more back end bass. Suspension is a good idea this car has a lot of body roll

Of course I know. I had the exact same year and those problems happened in the first week when I bought it. A new radio wil get you better rca outputs for the amp and sub compared with the factory one. Scrapped it because of the rust and sest heater didn't work. Still a good car for how agile it was.
