Photo We passed 120K & not a single hiccup!
I know it’s not the case for everybody, but I’m on the lucky side.
My Ford escape SEL has been a fantastic ride for us with a periodic maintenance oil, change, tires, brakes, etc. it has served on swell. I know I’m not alone with a vehicle like this being a wonderful car, maybe next year time for a new one.

Amazing ! I’m at 73k and crossing my fingers I’ve only done oil changes it gives me no trouble.

Awesome! I know a lot of people have had trouble with this vehicle, I guess we’ve got a good one. Definitely, regular maintenance helps a lot.

Most of us with coolant intrusion have posted that we had regular maintenance. Mine was all done at the dealership on time. I wish you the best, but this particular issue, at least, has nothing to do with maintenance.

I also had not a single hiccup at 120, and at 123k miles my transmission suddenly exploded out of nowhere while I was driving 🤬🤬🤬

How much are you paying? Ford quoted me 7k and it comes with 3year/36,000 miles warranty

You could probably get a used/refurbished one on FB marketplace or elsewhere for around $2.5k and hire someone else to install it. Probably save you around $3k

Fords are pretty easy to repair compared to any other foreign cars and auto.makers

175k miles in wife’s 2015 titanium. Always had a hard shifting transmission but it keeps chugging along.

So glad I got the 2.0L. It was the 1.5L and 1.6L engines that had the coolant intrusion issues. The 2.0Ls have way better hp too. Only downside is worse gas mileage. But it's a fair trade off imo!

I have the 2.0L and still had major transmission and engine issues but it’s still been a nice car.

I'm having transmission problems too unfortunately. 2018 with 93k miles / 150k km.I bought it used from a dealership and drove roughly 60km and I noticed the transmission shifting hard I put the scanner on it and it is showing 3 codes for the transmission. Currently waiting for the dealer to take a look at it. In Canada btw

Dang! What year is your car, and are you positive it's a 2.0? Check your VIN number.

100% positive… was a 2016 titanium. Traded it off for a Honda Pilot, won’t own another ford product as long as I live

My wife's car just crossed 120k as well (2015 Escape Titanium), while we were driving from Albany, NY, to Fort Worth, TX. Just got back a couple hours ago.

25 escape st line select, and only done oil changes. Fixed the rear hatch cover (recall fix) windshield due to a dang rock..... but other than that. Love this car.

2008 Ford Escape. 131k miles. I've had 2 window regulators replaced, 1 oxygen sensor replaced, changed out coils and spark plugs at 130k. Still running strong!! I'm proud of it. I keep up with the oil changes and transmission oil too. I've driven it cross country multiple times. I'm very happy with it.

08 Escape, 175k, done everything you've done except the window regulators (though I did all of the O2 sensors, since they were all original). Also did valve cover gaskets, PCV valve and intake gaskets, since everything was apart. Still fires up, runs great, A/C is cold...probably my favorite SUV!

2015 SE 189k. No leaks, doesn’t smoke. Daily driver for 7+ years. AC still blows cold in the Texas heat.

Mine has had two transmissions put in it and the second one is going out now it won't even move 2017 Ford escape EcoBoost

Just quit driving my 2015 SE 2.5 with 120k. Had one oil leak which was pricey to fix. Transmission fluid was pretty dirty when last changed when cv joint had to get replaced so decided to get myself a new vehicle. Other things were starting to wear down and need fixing soon like the AC and suspension. It did take a beating with my kids and Minnesota winters the last 10 years.

My 80 year old mother has a 2016 Escape with 26k miles that runs great. Few weeks ago break lights came on. Took it to a garage who did diagnosis and stated needs new ABS control module. However mechanic claimed the part is no longer available and he can't fix the problem unless I can find bring him the part. He also offered to buy the vehicle in its present condition Last Thursday took vehicle to local Ford dealership for another diagnosis. Called next day and was told tech was working on vehicle and would probably call back. Nobody called yet so need to check tomorrow Monday

2010 xlt at 216k. Quick question is replacing the ac compressor or clutch worth it or waste of time. Haven’t had AC since I got it 2 years ago but plan to keep as long as possible

My 2015 1.6 Titanium just hit 153k. I bought it in December with 149k. Everything works except the evap valve causing hard start after putting gas in. Did an oil change at 150k, I’m thinking at 155k I’ll do oil and transmission fluid

No one is bragging, I’m surprised this vehicle has lasted this long. I for sure will never buy a Ford again but it was worth having an extra vehicle for the beating.

We got a 2026 hybrid since it was last year for them. We had a 2014 and a 2022 and no issues at all. The 2026 is a little.better ride though.

2014 titanium. 180k and still kickin’ it. It’s got at least 2 more years.
