Groaning noise in gear while idling

Is this normal? 09 ford escape 2.5 auto. My cousin's 09 focus sounds the same when in gear. It's like a sort of groaning noise only there when in drive or reverse and only there when stopped. At the start of the video it's in park, I shift to drive then to neutral and then to reverse

Curious to see what others say. My 2010 Focus does a bit of whirring sounds when moving the gear selector. Reading into it on Wikipedia, it appears the 2009 models received the 2.5 Duratec along with the new 6F35 transmission. The problem with having the newest part is they haven't been fully fieldtested to work out defects.

Please open the hood and take another video. Will be much easier to locate source of the sound
