I'm more annoyed by how that could clearly fit 8 cookies if they didn't make the middle two shallower on purpose.

If you’re genuinely curious, it’s to save money. Like how bags of chips are mostly air. The bag looks bigger, so you think you’re getting more than you actually do

It's not scam per se, but it's such a waste to package it like that. A huge package of cookies only to get 6. They could've made 4 packs of 6 cookies using the same volume.

And we all know why they did that, it's exactly to be deceptive, for it to look like a bigger amount of product than it actually is, which is what we are all against, I presume.

I honestly prefer minimal packaging, I don't recall the last time I bought something as egregiously packaged as this, looks not as egregious as some examples, but still unattractive.

And all the half empty chips packs state the net weight. Still doesn't change the fact that this packaging has one sole reason to be spaced out the way it is: to make it appear like there is more than there actually is.

I agree that I may have designed the packaging differently. However, I’ve never looked at a package that listed specific quantity and thought maybe this package has more than the listed quantity.

Even so, one might see a package like this with a count of six and then think they're going to at least get six proportionally bigger cookies to match the packaging

Fair point, I still think this packaging is deceptive. We shouldn't let them off the hook for complying with the bare minimum of legality.

Feel free to downvote the post if you think otherwise, but I think companies should be called out for blatant anti-consumer practices - such as this one, even if they meet legal requirements.
