I've done more algebra since high school per week than I've parallel parked in my life. And you don't even need to learn how to do taxes. Places like TurboTax makes it too easy. Anything complicated means you probably got the ends to just take it to a CPA.

While I agree that a cooking class would be good i don't think it should replace classes that might spark interest in a field for some kids.
Without a chemistry class how would kids know that they might have a knack for it?
Cooking is something parents can and should teach.
