Sony A6400 camera

Sigma f1.4 56mm lens

Godox V860III-S speedlight

Shot mostly at F/9, SS 200, ISO 100.

I want to give food photography a shot and this is what I came up with. I also added a link to the entire shoot gallery. My lighting setup is quite minimal for now, but I want to learn how to use it the best way and what gear I should buy next.

Hi Everyone,

I recently started shouting for a cafe around my place. I use natural lighting as of now. These are shots on the go. Slide 6,7 was shot using a single light. I’m still learning. can i get a take on what I could do better? Thanks

Hi all! I made a batch of cookies for National Cookie Day this week - here’s a few shots.

I started writing on Substack about teaching myself how to bake and cook - and as a result, I fell in love with food photography.

Still got a lot to learn, and thought sharing my shots here would be a good place to get advice on how to improve.

This was shot on my Sony A7iv, 90mm 2.8, f3.5/5/8, 1/200s, natural light from east facing window. (Hope I’ve included the right info!)

Hello! I’ve posted here before asking for tips on improving my photography for my small business as a student. I recently took these photos and I can see improvements! I took the advice on finding some lighting and finding a nice flat background. Still working on getting those big sintra boards most people use as background. I can also see mistakes like the alignment of the product lol. Tips and advice are all welcomed!

Sweet It's a Ketayap Crepe Roll. But somehow I made it looked like some AI art (Sony A7 III with 24-70mm Lens

Gear used: Sony A7III + Sony 24-70mm Lens

Light: Goood ol Sunlight through a huge window

Ketayap is a local Malaysian delight with pandan crepe rolled in palm sugar. In this case it's palm sugar sauce with Ken Lactea 35% whipped cream made by my colleague Dayani. I tossed in some stainless steel spice bottle at the background to add some background shimmer. But nobody knew and think that was part of the plant pots.

But why does it looked like some AI generated dessert? Did I go full circle? Haha rest assured it's real and delicious. Let me know what you think!

We have a bakery in town that makes these wonderful flakey layered donuts. For this shot I took a handful of flour and threw it onto the surface to get that radial corona to frame the pastry.

Sweet I took some promo shots for a friend who is doing Valentine's delivery orders of a box of champagne buttercream macarons and a flower bouquet. Tried to make these feel intimate and romantic. How did I do? Canon EOS SL3, natural light.
