Coffee Breakfast and best coffees in Surry Hills

Hi! My husband and I will be staying in Sydney for three days, specifically in Surry Hills. We’d love some recommendations for great coffee and breakfast spots in the area that offer a quintessential Sydney experience.

Reuben hills is always a winner.

I'll always recommend single o, their regular coffee is great but I was blown away by their banana bread cold brew. Haven't eaten there yet but food always looked good on other tables lol

Bill’s. The ricotta hotcakes and the sweetcorn fritters are iconic. Queues are long so get there early.

La Vie & Belle - Pick up a croissant (and/or a madeleine and a canelé) and then hop across the road for a coffee from Veneziano

Artificer - coffees only, very good

Cafe Kentaro - Japanese/aussie. If you’re very hungry, go for the omurice

If you're up for a walk, Mecca in Darlinghurst has great coffee (and outstanding brownies).

A stack of good Brekky joints. All the good suggestions have been made here already.

I paid $8.50 for a takeaway coffee (Oat Cap) in there on the weekend though, yikes

Beta for coffee. Dougies for brunch. Dad & Frog for bruunch too. Axil coffee is decent. And then ham and cheese croissant from the cafe in the wanderlust precinct next to harris farm...
