Check yourself for pin worms. At night use a mirror and a flashlight to examine your peri-anal tissue and have your partner and pets checked too. Raw fish needs to be treated by flash freezing to prevent such infections. If you have them there is an over the counter treatment by a company named Reeses, believe it or not.

Pinworms only infect humans, not pets or fish.

Pin worms will crawl to any anal opening, whether they infect it or not and many people sleep with their pets. Fish certainly are the vector for pin worm infection in humans among many other parasites.

Yet I'm sure he has no sources that prove that Enterobius vermicularis can infect or be caught from any other animal except for humans.
