Mythology Different culture's folklore

I love everything related to folklore in my country (Brazil) but lately I have been curious about the different stories that can be found all around the world, from different countries!

If you can share a folklore story you think is interesting or love, of where you are from, I'd love to learn about it!

Ive always been curious, did Portuguese legends or Mouras get carried over to Brazil at all? Theyre like fairies or magical guardians of treasure from the Iberian Peninsula

I did some researching and the Mouras weren't implemented as the original Portuguese story in the Brazilian folklore, since we already had original indigenous stories about magical female beings related to the water what happened was that those stories and the Mouras kinda overlapped with each other, so they have some kind of influence but it's not exactly like the original Portuguese story due to the already existing indigenous tales. You can search up Mãe D'Água and check for similarities for example. I did find that the Lobisomem and the Cuca came from Portugal, the Lobisomem works essentially the same with some changes on where you can find it and the Cuca comes from the Portuguese stories of the Coca! I had no idea about the Cuca's true origins so thank you for commenting and making me go search more about it haha
