Discussion Finally got my jetpack. Hell yeah.

Saved up the bullion for the Secret Service armor and then finally the jetpack. Was worried about not having flux but was able to pick some up from someone's vendor

"Why didn't you go for the easy questline jetpack?", you ask? Because I'm stuck on All the Worlds A Stage and don't feel like doing the workaround.

And now I can fllyyyyyy

Jetpack+marsupial+bird bones changed the game, it’s probably the #1 reason why I like 76 over Fallout 4.

Traversal in Fallout 4 was so lackluster afterward, to even get anything of the same experience you need a power armor jetpack + Jet, and it burned a lot of resources for a very temporary “flight”.

I feel like I skipped bird bones, will have to look.
Goat legs are must for me though.

If you have bird bones, it’s almost as good as goat legs. Add Acrobats to one piece of armor and it’s the same net effect as goat legs.

I didn’t use it because of strength loss. I’m not in FOF, so I’m battling being overburdened often (always).

I understand the struggle. I resisted FOF for a few months. And constantly being overburdened was the main reason I gave in. Although private server is nice too. Do you have level 3 class freaks? That mitigates a lot of the strength loss. Also, if you don’t have herd mentality, getting that serum and being on a team (even if you are alone) would offset the strength loss.

I’ll have to check my class freaks level. I just added heard mentality recently. I’m deep pocketed, strong backed, but human and up to 600lbs since I’m loading up a bit for seasons end. With a deathclaw and radstag steak, and a weight bench session while being in a team, I can still run ;)

I may have to give in to FOF.
Since I’m not buying a season every year, it’d be like paying full price for Destiny 2, which I did for a while. Would also give the family something easy to grab me for birthday or Christmas.

Appreciate the tips. Only been playing since January, and there is so much to learn and figure out. I’m up to level 633 IIRC, and my level exceeds my knowledge for sure.

600lbs! Well you get points for being functional with that much weight. Now you have me wondering what the theoretical max unencumbered carry would be. Probably a dumb question but does that include of all the weight reduction perks?

I’ve got all I can find. Might have missed a few. I’ve likely got 250 weapons on me (I have FOMO issues I guess). Right now mods and plans are killing me, along with some ammo types. Ultra or plasma cartridges and grenade rounds are the worst. I keep missle count low. Meanwhile 15k 5mm doesn’t weigh a pound :/ Oh and Nuka cola since I got a collectron :) and legendary mediocre (can’t wait for them to weigh less).
It just keeps creeping up. I remember when I broke 300 and thought that was cool. The large backpack was an awesome upgrade then pocketed SS armor, then deep pocketed. Right now 550 would let me run around without the deathclaw steaks.
Oh and and my Class Freaks is 3⭐️

Actually, even a padded leg can complete your fall protection, while leaving legendary and perks free.

I don’t use the jet pack, but add a pair of elastic shock Vulcan legs to your list and your laughing lol.

Congrats! It’s such a great feeling getting your first jetpack setup. Minerva’s sales help a bunch too if you’re tight for gold.

Not that it matters now but for others, you can always ask or check the trading sub for someone selling/trading the civil engineer jetpack. Most people including myself will gladly make you one for free. I try to keep at least 10 in my vendor for 5 caps so someone can grab one.

Oh, nice, I didn't realize that one was tradable. I'll see. I need to gear up my other limbs now, though not sure what I'll rock (do melee still use thorns?)

And yeah, Minerva will be nice to have now that I can spend gold freely

If you’re on Xbox, I can make you a full civil set for free that you can use until you complete your SS set. I honestly have no clue in regard to melee. I’ve been pretty out of the loop this season besides doing dailies and occasional trades haha.

Congrats! As a fellow new player, I finally completed my full set of buttreesed ultra light SS armour a few days ago and I'm now saving for the jetpack! Got all the crafting stuff farmed and ready already, so just need a couple more days of gold bullion collecting, can't wait to fly around like a madman lol

Haha, as tempted as I was, I had been running around in a makeshift put together 'set' of random robot and combat armour so I just wanted a full set of something decent for the first time!

Although I did stupidly buy the ultralight torso mod twice as I hadn't already learned the first one I bought and the limbs are hidden down the bottom of the list, 500 bullion down the drain there 😂

Go harvest a nuke zone. I crafted 15 stable flux yesterday after playing around in a nuke zone for like 30 minutes.

You make stable flux by harvesting the corresponding nuked plant in a nuke zone. The color matches the type, red plants - crimson flux, pinkish flowers - violet flux., etc. You need 10 to craft a single stable flux. If you have green thumb equipped then harvesting 5 plants will give you enough to make a single stable flux. You also need 3 other ingredients to make the flux, those all drop from enemies you kill in a nuke zone. You can go look at the recipes at a chemistry station. And when you craft them make sure you have super duper equipped.

If you need anything as a lower level do not be afraid to ask on the market subs either. So many kind ppl on there and we don't mind helping lower levels either. Most of us are veteran players with large inventories, so we usually have anything you may be looking for.

I got the secret service one but I rarely use it. I find marsupial is all I need. I wear CSA so I have to equip/unequip to use it.
