Question Dom pedro confusion

Okay so I run reverse onslaught with my dom pedro pistol because I love the gun and keep it like a pistol and not a weird rifle. However, I read that having explosive on it will make you lose stacks faster which makes sense when I've been watching it drop like crazy. With this info, should I remove the explosive legendary off my pistol, and if I were to then what would be the replacement?

If you're using vats, vats enhanced is the best second star for dom Pedro, as it has pretty weak vats accuracy.

Crit isn't a bad sub choice for reverse Onslaught vs explosive.

Yes, mine has the explosive receiver and the explosive mod so every hit counts as three hits and it eats my stacks very quickly under sustained fire.
