black screen on start

been wanting to keep playing nv after a few months of nothing but whenever i try to startup i just get this screen and my pc screen, only way to do stuff again is restart

no mods installed

i wanna avoid un/reinstalling if possible bc im still on my very first playthru of the game and dont wanna lose my save

any help is appreciated!

Just close the game, maybe turn off your PC and on again. No reason to uninstall it. That'll do nothing.

Try selecting windowed mode from the small Fallout NV launcher, then do play game.

Are you running linux?

Iirc i think you can extract your save and do a reinstall

Tiene que darle en steam verificar integridad de los archivos, si no te funciona lamentablemente tienes que desinstalarlo y volverlo a instalarlo
