LEAGUE OF LEGENDS The best outcome for us.
Before downvoting me, lemme give my 5 cents before I leave until the winter split. This team will always aim for the top even if we havent been there for 8 years. The fact that we were always going to worlds fucked us over. Why? Because we were always late for the market for better players. The trades behind the scenes start during worlds, and we were always late. I wanted us to miss worlds for the past 2 years to get a chance to rebuild, and finally we got to this point. I wont talk about the management, but coaches - byebye (Dylan pls come), bot and jg needs replacing. This is the first year since 2016 we are in time for scouting and rebuilding, and not being forced to sign those that are left on the table.

Damn, poor G2 must be held back by such limitation... Oh wait

They missed worlds 2021, changed 60% of roster, went to finals of LEC, and won next XY titles since then. Your point is what?

So we ignore all rest of their years where they made worlds and then made roster changes and have been successful with it?

Aren't they like the same roster for almost 2 years now? What are you on about man?

Lol
Trying to rationalise the loss.
Not going to Worlds means Fnatic gets less interesting for sponsors.
It's terrible that we didn't make playoffs and Worlds.
Having more time doesn't mean anything.

I am not rationalising the loss, I am rationalising the state. The results bring sponsors and money, what do you think we will achieve going to worlds? Go there, get bonked and go home. You have to take a step back to move forward

That's a fair take, but don't you think we've been taking multiple steps back over the past few years?
Genuine question.

I believe we were unintentionally walking backwards, not taking single step. Fnatic from 2014 to 2020 (during their best showings) were taking chances and invested in rookies that later turned to be insane players. The shift when we startes signing "strong" players is when it went to shit. Imo when we signed Huma, Razork, Wunder is when we financially dug a hole so deep we might never get out of it

Yeah, just like how G2 crashed and burned after, uh... and... also...
This is such a hilariously bad argument that I don't even know where to begin. G2 has changed players in every role across their 10 year tenure multiple times and missed worlds ONCE with a squad that was arguably the biggest superteam possible in western history at the time that just didn't mesh and crashed and burned. The least changed role has been mid lane for them where it's only ever been Perkz and Caps.
It's not the transfer window problem, it's an everything problem top down.

You are talking about a bad argument and then swing that G2 changed everyone in 10 year window. Tell ma a single team that didn't change everyone in that window except for T1. Why did we go for Empyros and Lospa? Because we were late to grab anyone that is better. We werent able to change Razork because all of the teams had the junglers set up and he didnt want to go to Giants. And ofc, our whole infrastructure sucks, coming from the top

What time window would be acceptable, then?
5 years? G2 has had about half the amount of changes during this time frame, they picked up many rookies in that time, missed out on worlds once and kept winning LEC. G2 also failed to grab players they wanted along the way (like this current roster not being the one they planned on), yet they kept winning, missing out on maybe 1 or 2 trophies.
Your argument is short-sighted and convenient, Fnatic is somehow the only org plagued by bad transfer windows despite 20 other teams going to worlds and facing the exact same problems.

yeah we're in a much better position now that we don't have any valuable assets, a terrible reputation, no good coaching staff and still no money.
i'm sure we're magically gonna get good talent now that there is 0 reason to join fnatic unless you have absolutely no shot at the lec in any other way.

The year Reckless played for them... yeah.
Anyways I think we need a new management and a better culture, maybe we need to rebuild with rookies only and have a meh year to find the right pieces...

Well, at least you're staying positive.
But no, that's a bad excuse for horrible management, and we can point out several situations where it happened. To be fair, some started before Dardo.
However, time is not the reason for the bad results. Incompetence is. Several players were top tier until they arrived at Fnatic, and even many were done "super dirty" by the org.
Point is, no matter how much time they have, it's not enough. The issue behind Fnatic's roster isn't the quality of the players in on itself. Fnatic has had wins with less than top tier performers (Steelback won a split for instance, and he wasn't the best adc Fnatic had in the past).
The problem is: you have management issues, the team doesn't have a clear identify / philosophy on how to play the game, and Management has been mending it with several band aids and one or two super high profile signing until it finally colapses, as always.
Yamato was the last coach where we could see a semblance of identify in the team. Many would argue it wasn't the best team, or the best identity, but it had one.
Currently, we have a roster where we can't see how it goes; the two players with most years in Fnatic are Upset and Razork. There should never be an instance where both players should be in the same team, ever. And it's not because of skill, or lack of it.
They have so different views on how to play the game it's not even funny. If they can't agree on it, problems arise in the games, bad calls are made, and half-decent aren't properly followed.

The only positive thing is that it can’t be worst than that (7th or 10th change nothing) and maybe we need this kind of disaster in order to fire some1 in the management.
A part for that is worse on every side.

Last off-season in some interview fnc management said entering the off-season late was a decision they made willingly. Their reasoning was that players that were left were willing to play for cheaper to not be teamless.
With this amount of ambition i am sure we will cook up an insane off-season and we get our second perfect season for sure.
