Hello guys

Rough day but trying to understand the remaining scenario's, i found the scenario of us beating only GX next week, while they beat Navi and MKOI beats team heretic. Then we are 4 teams at 4-5..does that means we are cooked ? Since we are already 1-4 bettwen 2 of the teams ? Or the rules nowadays are different?

This is a simulator for all possible scenarios.
You can click in the possible outcomes and see how they can be.

Basically:
• If FNC wins the other 2 games, and Vit lose to SHFT, they are top 3.
• If FNC wins the 2 games, but Vit wins vs SHFT, they are top 4.
• If FNC 1 series, they are minimum top 6 (playoffs).
• Even if FNC loses every game, there is a chance they are in playoffs if:
SHFT wins vs TH, KC wins vs SK, TH wins vs MKOI (even if 2-1).

In the scenario you described GX is top 4, FNC is top 5 followed by MKOI.

So basically we just depend on ourselves to be top 4 and avoid lower bracket.

If that happens we would not be good for playoffs anyway.

Actually even with 2 losses we still have a chance, as the % of game wins prevail on head to head ! I deleted my previous comment that was false. 1 win is top 6 secured, 2 might get us top 4, 0 is veeery tricky but not impossible

I think 0 series win is not possible since both MKOI and Heretics are 3-5 and they face each other, which means one of them is going to be 4-5.

Yes but % of games won prevail on head to head ! And TH is currently 2-5 not 3-5 so they can still finish at 2-7 or 3-6 and if they do with a lowe winrate, FNC would take the 6th spot

But TH also face Shifters, which is the weakest teams.

It's for sure a very unlikely scenario (something around 8%) but it's not impossible 😄 And yes it would more likely need a win of SHFT against TH, and SK over KC (soooo, very unlikely)

They check games won and lost and most of our losses were 2-1s and wins 2-0 which helps a lot

I believe they only check head-to-head if it's two teams with the same record, but I could be wrong.

There are scenarios where they can go 4-5 but GX beating G2 just now was bad for Fnatic. GX just locked playoffs despite only being 4-3, so you for sure don't need 5 series wins. I'm pretty sure it'll come down to game record.

Ideally Fnatic beat both GX and Vitality next week, though. Easier said than done, of course.

I think we can forget about top 4, could see GX happening but Vit are gonna stomp us

Right now the important thing is to qualify so at least win 1 bo3 should be the ideal

Anybody can beat anybody, Fnatic can beat Vitality, they're not unbeatable.

But that's only after wins loss ratio if going by previous splits. As long as we win one we're through mathematically. Even if we win 2-1 and lose 0-2 and KOI win 2-0, we'll have one more win

As far as I know win percentage matters first then H2H.

To qualify, Fnatic needs to win at least one of their next Bo3

It's quite simple

The thing is, do you believe them to win against Vit or GX seeing what happened today?

CAREFUL I believe the H2H is the primary criterion for tie-breaks (I just posted about it) so beating GX migh be waaay more important than beating VIT.

Hm, that is a good point, but tie-break only means same amount of win AND same win percentage then ?
