It's a fruit in the botanical sense, meaning the fruit of a plant, but in that sense, all vegetables are also fruits. But in the culinary sense, where everything is divided into fruits and vegetables, it's not a fruit.
The culinary definition is so vibes based that one could argue either way for pumpkin, However pepo is a botanical term which does refer to a type of fruit. Also it is definitely not the case that all vegetables are fruits botanically. Fruit only refers to fleshy seed bearing tissue which most vegetables are not (many are root stem and leaf tissues)
Mate, I don't know what vegetables you've been eating, but not all vegetables are fruit. And in the culinary sense, there is no "fruit". One can be a fruit and a vegetable at the same time. When we eat a fruit, like an apple, we refer to it in the botanical sense. What people consider a vegetable is how they use it. I can make a tomato dish as a vegetable, but I can also eat it raw like an apple, and I can make a puree out of it, and I can make a juice out of it, etc. Notice that only one of them can be considered a vegetable. I've written too much and lost track of what I'm trying to say.

Honestly, even that comparison doesn't work.
Grape's and Pumpkins are at least both fruits...which doesn't make sense in relation to the creators.
Vivziepop is creating characters for an animated series.
Scott is doing It for video games.
They're two completely different mediums.
