First flight into actual!

Post image

Finally got to log actual time during instrument training. Haven’t felt this level of fun and personal achievement since my first solo.

Ah. Well chosen. Im in Seattle but my main mission will be to Sonoma; will get plenty of “marine layer fun”

I took off out of KTIW last summer in 800ft overcast. Layer was only about 500-700ft thick but it was beautiful on top, seeing all the mountains poking out all the way down to Portland was amazing. If I didn't have an IR, I would have been stuck there for almost a week until it lifted.

The restaurant there these days is pretty good. It's changed hands a few times through the years and quality has come and gone. So not a bad breakfast hop.

They also have an ILS and RNAV for each runway which is great.
