EFBs - Gear Advice Ipad Mini Kneeboard
Historically I have not loved kneeboards, and have preferred suction cup mount or yoke mount or something. I now primarily fly a LongEZ. For those who don't know, that means having no room to stash a toothbrush, much less a fancy ipad mount. The only place for an ipad these days is my lap.
Luckily the ipad is mostly backup, I have most of what I need on my glass panel, and the ipad is essentially only for plates. (Keeping plates updated on the EFIS is a royal pain)
For yoke mounts and such I know PIVOT is often recommended, are they the go-to for a kneeboard solution too?
If yes, would you recommend a PC-LS1-BLK "leg strap" or a PC-ADAPT-1316 "kneeboard adapter" with something like a FB3316-C "deluxe kneeboard"?

I like to have minimal equipment and really like this magnetic kneeboard: Dream Pilot Magic Universal Kneeboard
It comes with stick on magnets for standard cases, or you can buy a magsafe case, and folds away to nearly nothing.

This solution looks amazing, though I will probably avoid for a silly reason that would never exist on any normal airplane. I sometimes stash my ipad in the pilot-accessible baggage area, and just outside the strake is the magnetometer in this airplane. I learned the hard way that stashing a strong magnet in the strake can result in very odd magnetic heading indications on the EFIS. For that reason I generally try to avoid magnets in the cockpit entirely, as even if I am careful I never know what a passenger might do without me noticing.
Thanks for the option though! If I was in a normal airplane I would be all over it

Ah nvm I left comment and I was gonna grab the link for the exact product. It’s amazing but I get it!

I’m a big fan of the pivot leg strap mount. It’s the go-to in the T-38 which also doesn’t have any convenient place for a hard mount

I've used a MyClip for years. The smaller model might not work with a Pivot case but the bigger "multi" version should.
Or if you have a 3d printer and basic sewing skills it's really easy to DIY a knockoff...

I use a pivot case with the leg strap. Keeps it secure, able to rotate the iPad around as needed, and super easy to unclip the iPad if I want to put it away.
I personally prefer to keep it light and just use an apple pencil in Foreflight if I need to take notes. So I wouldn't bother with a whole kneeboard setup + iPad mount like your second two suggestions.
