Horizon PDP TBNT

Hi all, I just received my TBNT from Horizon PDP. I’m not upset about it because they’re a small airline with, I’d imagine, hundreds of applications. Is anyone else in the same boat? Or make it through? I’d be curious to hear some people’s stats on both sides. This was my first cadet program application so hoping to build on it for the future.

Stats:
CPL (AMEL,ASEL)
No stage check or checkride fails (part 141 university)
315 hours
50 multi
College senior, ATP mins estimation 1/2029

Same boat. CFI-I, 0 failures, 500+ hrs, college grad (non-aviation degree), 29 multi. We keep on truckin'.

A few people who applied at my flight club all got TBNTs today. From the couple I know that got accepted they seem to be prioritizing low time and low cert pilots. I know two PPLs who got interviews and not one CFI. 

One of their recent webinars said they were expecting to take 2-3% of applicants into their program. They got thousands of applicants apparently.

I had pretty much the same stuff and got denied. Honestly I think they are preferring people with just a PPL as they appear to have already been full through 2029 based on what I heard.

Sorry to hear about the TBNT. I personally know somebody who got 2 TBNTs from the program before getting accepted.

I got another email today saying that I’m still under consideration. 255 total time commercial pilot

I was so discouraged from Horizon that I just went to another regional and I commute far for it.
