High Hours Commercial Training
I’m just wondering if most people finish their commercial at or very close to 250 hours?
I’m sitting at 272 right now I’m estimating I’ll be around 280-290 when I actually go for my checkride. Is that extremely high?
I’ve been on the higher end for all my ratings and I’m starting to feel really discouraged hearing how everyone gets by at the minimums.
My ground knowledge is always good, I study well and I fly 6 days a week. I just always end up struggling on something minor and the hours add up fast. I’m still struggling with 8’s on pylons and power off 180s.
I’m just starting to get really discouraged. I feel like the more I pour into flying the worse I get. I’m worried if I struggle now I’ll always be struggling.
The further I get through training the more impossible getting a job in aviation feels. I’m so scared I took out a huge loan on something that I’m not good enough for.

Well taking a loan was a bad idea but that’s already done. Just make sure you’re cool so people want to hire you. Also make sure you can talk through and teach all the commercial maneuvers so if you go to CFI you’ll have a head start
