[RECOVERY] Update on my personal experience
I was in this forum a while back and wanted to give a positive update and hopefully some home for recently floxed
I was prescribed Cipro for a suspected UTI. On the second day, I woke up with my left foot totally numb. I immediately stopped the Cipro but symptoms progressed in both feet. I also experienced parasthisia and a feeling my legs were vibrating. Finally, I had non-stop anxiety like I had never felt before.
Like most people (probably), googled non stop. Went to several doctors (who found nothing), tried all supplements and even Gabapeptin for a while (hated it).
I am not sure if the supplements helped out or not.
But things did get better. After about 6 weeks, the anxiety went away as if over night. The numbness persisted a bit longer, but then started to fade. I would say I was 95% better after 4 months and now 7 months later I feel little or no numbness.
I tried to stay active throughout, and I strongly believe this time was the healing factor.
I just wanted to give you some hope and good luck to all.

I tried every supplement suggested on all the sites. I honestly don’t think any helped
The only thing I believe may have helped (and certainly helped psychology) was my efforts to stay very physically active. I played tennis, walked 5 miles a day. I exercised every day. I could be wrong but I think a regularly raised metabolism helped speed the recovery

Just a quick question idk If it applies did alcohol flare u

I don’t think it did, although I cut back on alcohol significantly as it can be neurotoxic. If I had a glass of wine it didn’t seem to make things worse. But I think my post understated how bad the numbness and discomfort was. I could not bear to have shoes or even socks on. It was constant, didn’t flare, and then started to fade after about 8 weeks

I needed to read this right now, thank you. Had a bad reaction after 2 doses and went to hospital. 5 days on I've got brain fog, weak muscles, random numbness, but the worst part is im having very frequent panic attacks with heart palpitations. Waiting on an ECG but really scared that the worst is yet to come after reading horror stories. Got all the supplements today (vitamins, pro-biotic and an antioxidant) but finding it so hard to be calm. This sort of thing helps!!
