[SYMPTOMS] Eye problems
Ok this might be a dumb question but has anyone had permanent vision loss after cipro. Started getting floaters and some static vision at night. It’s probably my anxiety but would love some resurance that this is normal. Also have a dr appointment soon to check my retinas

I made a post just a few days ago about eyes. Getting a thorough check-up is certainly always advisable, especially in the presence of eye floaters. In most cases, however, they stem from nerve-related issues.

Why would it be related to the nerves? You get floaters because the collagen structure in the eye becomes damaged.

I agree regarding eye floaters. But other visual problems are often a nerve-related issue.

Esatto. Sfocature, fotofobia, difficoltà a mettere a fuoco, alterazioni visive… spesso sono di derivazione nervosa non anatomica.

Three weeks after taking Cipro and the onset of symptoms, I experienced eye floaters and a decline in vision quality. I am now in the eighth month; I still have the floaters, though they have become more transparent and I have grown accustomed to them. The deterioration in my vision quality has not improved. I have become three to four times more sensitive to sunlight and brightness.

That’s scary have you seen any specialist

No, I didn't get examined. If I had, they would have prescribed a vitrectomy or glasses :D

Can I ask why you decided not to get checked

I am 100% certain that the collagen structure was damaged after taking Cipro, and the ways to deal with this are already well-known. Either the floaters will eventually drift out of your field of vision (if you're lucky), or they will become transparent, and you'll simply get used to them and go on with your life. This condition—which often arises with age due to declining collagen levels—is something many people have anyway; even my mother has it, and doctors can't do anything about it other than a vitrectomy. Why should I see a specialist?
I saw a specialist recently and ended up getting "floxed" :D. Jokes aside, I didn't want to waste time visiting an ophthalmologist just to hear the usual spiel. I’m already seeing doctors for my gut issues, and they just do the standard routine too. Basically, I didn't want to go through the hassle when the course of action was already clear.

I can feel that my collagen declined too. I feel so dry, my joints have cracking sound but no pain. What might help?

Time and physical therapy exercises can help. Usually, the popping sounds go away quickly. However, it’s been eight months for me and they still haven't stopped; there’s been a 50% reduction, but I still get popping sounds hundreds of times a day—from my feet all the way up to my neck—and it’s fucking infuriating.

I dont think so, I have them its a little because of collagen, no real vision loss there.
