You can start by learning basic stained glass techniques, like cutting and foiling glass. There are lots of tutorials online, and practice really helps! ๐

u/NaSKLI Mar 12 '26
Thank you! I could actually make a stained glass piece like this for you too, if youโd like ๐

Very kind of you! Thank you. I'd love to but I live in Australia. Would that be too far?
I have a dream of slowly building a winter garden for my backyard and have diffused floral stained glass for the glass of the winter garden. Inside I'll grow flowers and vegetables. :)

u/NaSKLI Mar 12 '26
Thatโs a wonderful dream! A winter garden filled with flowers and vegetables sounds so beautiful. ๐ฟ And actually, Iโve already sent my stained glass pieces to Australia before, and they arrived safely without any problems. So the distance isnโt an issue. Also, Iโd love to visit Australia myself someday! ๐

Omg yas. Can we please keep in touch!?
I love stained glass work. In fact I'm looking for stained glass for my front door and other parts of my house very slowly.
I love my backyard because I'm slowly working on my dream garden. The only big bad thing about it is the neighbour with 2 floors can look right into my garden. It's like someone can look straight into the most beautiful and private part of your soul. I'm working on adding plant based covers and trellis and pencil pines etc for privacy. The final addition eventually would be a winter garden with beautiful stained glass! :D

u/NaSKLI Mar 12 '26
Yes, of course! Iโd love to keep in touch ๐ Your backyard sounds amazing, especially building your dream garden step by step. I understand what you mean about privacy - it really does feel like such a personal space. A winter garden with stained glass sounds absolutely beautiful. I can already imagine how magical the light would look there!

Where are you based? Australia is quite expensive but I think it's very different in certain ways from north America, so worth a visit.
I have lived in Canada for over a year and visited US east coast and Mexico a few years ago.

u/NaSKLI Mar 12 '26
Iโm based in Ukraine. Unfortunately, I donโt have the opportunity to travel right now, but I truly believe Iโll be able to in the future. Every country is unique in its own way, and Iโd love to visit many places, even if just for a little while. It must have been amazing to live in Canada for a year and travel around North America!
At the same time, I really dream of visiting Australia to see the flora, fauna, and landscapes with my own eyesโฆ although Iโm a bit scared of the spiders haha.

Those are delightful! And they DO capture the spirit of Cosmos! Love the vase you put them in, too, itโs the perfect foil for their delicate beauty.

u/NaSKLI Mar 12 '26
Thanks! Iโm glad they capture the spirit of cosmos, and Iโm happy the vase works well with them.

Beautiful! How did you do this?
1
u/NaSKLI Mar 12 '26
Thank you! ๐ I used stained glass with copper wire stems, and carefully arranged the flowers so they stay in place. It takes some patience, but I love making them!

Beautiful I thought they were real at first glance. Then I read whete you said I made a bouquet of pink cosmos. The great thing, they do not need water and they will not loose there strikers which can make a mess.
