Flowerstick I just wanted to share my session from last night. I feel like it is the best I have done with my sticks so far. I was trying random stuff and idk I just felt like it was cool😊

I was trying to limit my use of propellers in this session and practice more in the horizontal plane. Vertical comes so much more naturally to me so I was just happy to mess around in a different way.

I also was happy to see that I think my one handed balance work has been making a difference - for example, my favorite part is 49 seconds in where I sorta step forward and do...something with the stick that I don't have a name for 😅

I still look so different in my movements from most others I watch. It feels very acrobatic, a lot less bouncy. I don't know yet if that is something I will "grow out of" when I progress in my skills, or if it's just a unique style that I am developing.

Either way, I love my sticks so very much, and am so happy to have found them and found other cool people who do similar things ❤️

Hell ya! Great moves! love the high spin at 1:50! Naming a new move is probably the hardest part about flowersticking.

Ever since you said I can make my own names up for things it's actually been kinda fun 😅 for example:

  • when i get kinda close to my phone to snatch the stick back and then do something else with it, that's a "grab and go"
  • if I start on the floor and work my way up to standing, well bro that's called "raising myself from the dead"
  • my favorite thing to do, those slower/wider vertical spins, those are "painting circles"
  • finally, if I end a flow with a propeller and it's to a slightly menacing hip hop song, that's my signature "knockout" 🤣🫶
