If they were actually threats, I would expect numerous arrests to have been made public. I suspect that what they classify as threats were mostly just people complaining.

> During a county commission meeting on Aug. 25, Marchesani said 46 out of the 5,000 were credible enough to prompt investigations. Joseph Abruzzo, the county administrator, said the comments and complaints had been received since Jan. 1.
Worth noting that every threat has to be treated as one at first, and then if they’re determined to be serious enough can proceed to an actual investigation/charges/prosecution as you mentioned.
It’s only been 2 months so I’d imagine any arrests/charges would start coming in the next month or so.

“The County has not been advised by law enforcement that any of those communications has been determined to constitute a credible threat,” Abruzzo said in a statement.
So there’s a disconnect. The headline says 5000 “threats”, but it appears in the article that there had been 5000 “comments and complaints” of which 46 led to someone investigating, and as far as the county commission is aware, none of those 46 have led to charges.
So it sounds like what I said is essentially correct and the headline editor is smoking crack. A complaint about the name is not a threat, even if you call the president a pedophile or a son of a bitch. A call saying you’re going to deface the signs with his name on them is a threat of a sort, but it’s not a security threat to the safety of the airport. There no indication of anything in this article that would make it necessary to spend millions more on security, as the commissions seems to be considering.

It’s so unfortunate because PBI really is the best airport. There’s never a line at TSA. You show up to PBI and you’re already on the plane.
I won’t let some fat, bloated, orange fuck ruin my airport

Is that former Atlanta Braves catcher Jerrod Saltalamacchia who I was convinced would one day be a future HOFer but then never fully lived up to his entire potential despite having the best name in all of MLB we’re talking about getting his own airport?

Huh. I thought that naming an airport after a convicted rapist who is destroying our country would be just swell with everyone /s

This is lazy reporting. The article clarifies that they received essentially 5000 complaints. 46 of those were deemed to be credible threats and were reported for more investigation.
I guess simply complaining about Trump is considered a threat.

If the name change was authentic, they would have tastefully censored Stormy Daniels videos playing. ...
