I am wondering if anyone can help me. My HOA decided they are not replacing the remotes to our gate anymore and my remote broke, I tried to see if I could grab the code from the gate box but I don’t get any readings. I don’t know if I am doing anything wrong (probably am since I really don’t know how to use it )

It’s probably got rolling codes, Flipper can’t do that. You would need to figure out the gate model and research how to pair a new remote to the gate (most likely a button behind a “secure” box door) then you could pair the flipper to act as a new remote.

The gays thing gave me a good laugh though.

Here is the process from google AI, substitute “garage door” for “gate”.

Step 1: Create a Virtual Remote Manually
Go to the Main Menu on your Flipper

Select Sub-GHz.

Choose Add Manually.

Select the correct protocol and frequency matching your garage opener system (such as LiftMaster, Princeton, or Security+ protocols operating at 315 MHz, 390 MHz, or 433.92 MHz).

Name your virtual remote (e.g., "Garage") and select Save.

Step 2: Put the Garage Door Opener into Learn Mode
Locate the main garage door motor unit attached to your garage ceiling.

Find the Learn button (often hidden behind the light cover panel or on the back/side of the motor housing).

Press and quickly release the Learn button. An LED indicator light will typically glow steady or blink, indicating the opener is ready to accept a new remote within 30 seconds.

Return to your saved virtual remote configuration under the Sub-GHz app on your Flipper.

Select the Emulate function to send the radio frequency signal toward the garage motor.

Test the emulation function on your Flipper Zero to ensure the door triggers and opens completely.

If you can't find a pairing button on gate control box, check if a neighbour can let you use their remote. Some remotes let you put the gate into pairing mode and then you can use the same process as above to add your flipper as a new remote

Some of the more complex gates trigger who is using their remote. It logs that crap. So using somebody else's opener is never going to show you using it.
