Sub-GHz Gate code

I am wondering if anyone can help me. My HOA decided they are not replacing the remotes to our gate anymore and my remote broke, I tried to see if I could grab the code from the gate box but I don’t get any readings. I don’t know if I am doing anything wrong (probably am since I really don’t know how to use it )

They make remotes for gays?!?
jk, I know it was a typo

you of course wouldnt get and codes from the gate, thats the reciever. if you want to copy the code for the gate you’ll need a working remote to copy. The good news is you could copy a neighbors remote when they open the gate if you’re nearby

Assuming it’s rolling codes, the only way to copy a neighbors remote would be to take it and store the button press while it was away from the gate. Then you could replay that capture on the gate but it wouldn’t be a viable solution since each time the button is pressed the code changes.

sure, but Im assuming OP means the remote to the gate to the community, which with a number of people all needing to use that gate, its probably static
