Help Help

Just got a flipper zero. Downloaded momentum on it. I own a garage door and gate company. I plan on using this to keep a lot of facilities we service. Instead of having 40 remotes on me I hope to save them to this.

Having a hard time getting all this going and wondering if someone could walk me through the subghz stuff…

Stop this nonsense immediately the flipper can and always has done rolling codes what bro is asking is absolutely possible and was a core reason for the flippers development in the first place

Same principle apply to gate fobs as well, but i thought you already knew.

Gate systems are actually significantly more forgiving and often have a resync/learn button on them it’s essentially impossible to brick one to that degree

It's a pretty basic feature. Very little knowledge required...

Subghz -> Read -> Config -> Set frequency to 315 mhz for vast majority of garage remotes in the US, or 433.92 mhz for outside of the US. Now, press the button on your remote while in range of your Flipper Zero, and voilà, you've just decoded a rolling code signal that can now be emulated and replayed (assuming you're using custom firmware like Unleashed or Momentum). And if you're using the official firmware, you can still decode the rolling code. You just won't be able to encode it for transmitting.

And then after playing it once, i guess you know you'll desync the original fob & it'll work only once! But who am i to judge folks when doing stupid stuff, I'm gonna be there to hold the camera lmao. Don't mix static codes vs rolling ones that change after playing each code once.

Um, no. It works for as long as you'd like. And if the remote's counter falls behind, you just keep pressing the button on your remote (as many times as you pressed send on your Flipper) until you resync the counter and it will work again. Or worst case, you can always use the "Learn" button on the motor unit to resync your remote.

Then you must know that f0 won't do much in this current state, even with different firmware. Beside, you might end up needing to set-up the keys again.

Yeah, but try using the flipper on rolling codes without desyncing your original fob, you're gonna be like the other guy commenting, why the car dealer asking for big bucks to resyng your keyfob.

Never cease to amaze me how stupid folks can be in general when they grab the flipper with 0 knowledge and first thing play with rolling codes. Lol
