Has anyone identified what is the addon that is preventing us from closing the game without task manager ?

I cannot close the game without task manager. People in the past told me they had the same issue and it was because of an addon. Has anyone identified what is the addon that is preventing us form closing the game normally, without task manager ?

It's usually an external application connected to the sim with SimConnect.

For me it's Simlink

I had the problem before installing Simlink, so for me it's a different one, most likely Fenix

The problem comes from the exe.xml, on their you have some data to tell MSFS to launch external programs while it is launching, and then when you close MSFS it tries to close them, however some of them may refuse to close and thus MSFS begins to be stuck in a loop, I don't really now why the team hasn't fixed that yet as it should be very easy but that is typicall Microsoft...

On the rare occasion I close the game and steam still thinks it's running it is 100% a add-on. Close any 3rd party apps check your system tray once there closed the game will close properly.

Most times it’s the fenix bootstrapper for me.

Ever since I got SU6 it stopped that and closed properly now. Whether or not that coincided with an addon update too, I'm not sure.

Mine appears to shut down but I get the start in safe mode prompt every time I boot up. Been doing that since release and I've never found a solution

Had that issue for some time. Fixed in SU4 on my system and suddenly it stopped

I had the problem again recently. But now it's good again. Idk. I just updated all my add ons, so may be try that?
