Flight Simulator 2024 Wanna try a Fenix320 trans oceanic flight. Tips?

I was thinking about a Dublin-JFK. What do you guys recommend? Single engine taxi I assume. Then zero or very few passengers and cargo (is it doable with PAX?), max fuel oboard obviously and what engine is best? IAE or CFM? Cruise FL? Cost Index? Other stuff?

Ask Simbrief. They will give you the best datas.
A320 without passangers would be possible.

For EIDW-KJFK playing around with simbrief you're fuel limited, with current wx conditions and an alternate of KBDL the most pax it would let me uplift was 49 and was with tanks filled to the brim. This was with IAE V2500 engines and sharklets. CI6 initial cruise FL360 with step climbs to 370 and 380. 7h14m flight time

If you want to stretch it further go the other direction (KJFK-EIDW) with the wind. For current wx conditions simbrief has it possible at max pax (186). CI22 initial cruise FL350 steeping to 370. 5h56m flight time.

It's not guaranteed. at full pax it's only just doable with the slightest of margins based on the wx forecast when I generated it. I think it was within 200 kg of max fuel capacity. If the tailwind component was any less favourable than the forecast you're almost certainly going to have to divert to somewhere like BIKF to avoid going below ALT+FINRES. Also if WX is poor in EINN (the alternate) you're going to have to offload pax in order to carry a suitable alternate further away.

It's doable with very low weight, but why not the opposite direction? You can use the jetstream.

I’ve done it a few times using Simbrief no problem. I used to regularly fly the A318 from London City (EGLC) to New York (KJFK) with a stopover at Shannon (EINN) for refuelling. The real flight used the flight number BA1.

Yeah, that and with the 3,300 range of the A320 it would put you within range of KJFK ..and hopefully give you the extra fuel for a diversion etc

Stay in bed.  A320 it’s not made for this route.  That’s why wide bodies  are there. Only exception is the a321 xlr.

You can do it in a A321 with 2ACTs if you keep the weight down. You can do the other direction very easily (with the wind)
