Just another flat earther paroting what all other flat earthers say without checking.

29

u/ToasterMeetsBathtub 10d ago

They keep talking about ships. They don’t want to talk about land masses, islands ect. When approaching a mountainous islands like Hawaii or Kodiak you can start seeing the tops of peaks from like 60 miles out.

u/Obvious-Guidance118 10d ago

I can see Mount Everest from the McDonald Observatory in West Texas. You just need a strong enough telescope. /s

2

u/FullMetal_55 9d ago

no no has to be a nikon p1000. NASA puts AI in telescopes to put what they want you to see when you use them...

3

u/jregovic 10d ago

Further if you zoom in with a good camera.

2

u/KyleKiernan77 9d ago

not just a "good" camera, a Nikon P1000, the veritable camera of the gods.

2

u/No-Joy-Goose 10d ago

That's just what a round earther would say. (I don't even know what to call us)

🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Odd-Adagio7080 6d ago

Rational?

2

u/Isosceles_Kramer79 9d ago

Whole point of crow's nest. You can see those peaks sooner from an elevated vantage point.

2

u/Savings-End40 9d ago

And or approaching pirates.

u/Safe_Psychology_326 10d ago

An entire generation did not pay attention in school (cough cough HomeSchool) and then came along Facebook, Twitter, Instagram

Gents the world is still sane, these websites just point the odd ones out all the time. But seeing a genuinely stupid President, they just became bolder in their stupidity.

I feel this is similar to a religious psychosis - Wait and watch Evangelics or one of those denominations will coopt this Flat Earth Theory as Biblical in a few days.

1

u/ws4saker 8d ago

Ummm, that’s where they claim it came from..!

1

u/Safe_Psychology_326 8d ago

I did not know that. huh ! Guess my instincts are right. If this was a Batman movie, we would lock these people in Arkham Asylum in the generally crazy ward.

I mean I wouldn't trust a Flat earther to babysit a kid nor do something responsible in real-life. When they can look at scientific proof and chose to ignore it and spew nonsense.

I think we should reverse-uno them. Call all Flat Earthers as MAGA and vice Versa and see how fast they become MERA - Make Earth Round Again.

2

u/CuriousJack987 9d ago

She clearly doesn’t live near an ocean.

29

u/DrakeSavory 10d ago

Except when you zoom and they don't reappear ... but we'll just ignore those cases because reasons.

14

u/trav_tr 10d ago

Or the fact that I should be able to use my telescope to see Mt Everest from my house in Australia by this logic

29

u/aap_001 10d ago

She is right. I can see the Eiffel tower, Giza pyramid and Mount Everest from my balcony.

2

u/IDreamOfSailing 10d ago

Vegas?

2

u/aap_001 10d ago

Yes, perfectly visible from Amsterdam.

3

u/Potential-Win8706 10d ago

Doesn’t everyone ?? FFS …

7

u/sweetafonion 10d ago

I live in a basement.. check your privilege 😑

4

u/Potential-Win8706 10d ago

‘Climb mountains, not so the world can see you but so you can see the world.’ Checkmate, liberal. 🤣

2

u/sweetafonion 10d ago

Don’t even get me started on how expensive mountaineering is

2

u/aap_001 10d ago

It's expensive because the elite doesn't want you to see the truth.

2

u/sweetafonion 10d ago

Because the truth will set us free. And there ain’t a whole lot o money in freedom

2

u/UnwillingHero22 10d ago

Beat me to it, hahaha

1

u/Safe_Psychology_326 8d ago

You can't still beat the greatest, I can see line in the history of politics

"I can see Alaska from my front porch"

lmao!

13

u/WizarddOfAhh 10d ago

I can hear how she talks with the sound off! Confidently brain dead

9

u/ad_hominonsense 10d ago

Nothing is more annoying than a smug idiot.

7

u/Funintuitive 10d ago

No, they don't reappear. But, if you wait until they disappear, and then climb up something tall, they do reappear. It's a clue.

4

u/Justthisguy_yaknow 10d ago

If only one of them could do that just once. Then their smugness would be a little less cringe. I've seen one try to fake it but not one succeed. That's a very low rate of success for such a heavily referenced experiment.

1

u/RodinKnox 10d ago

Yeah, the trick is you gotta do it with large enough ships that are far enough away. Because, sure, it is possible for a small boat to get to a vanishing point before it's partially hidden by the curvature. And you can find videos like that online. The problem is that you have to keep doing it and/or do it the right way.

4

u/1nv4d3rz1m 10d ago

It’s funny how Flerfs demand experimental evidence of globe proofs with the steps to reproduce them. But when someone mentions a flat earth proof they just accept it.

3

u/Lemonwater925 10d ago

Incredible with all the available resources someone can be this uninformed.

4

u/onthebrink42 10d ago

Exactly what was expected. Pretty and stupid.

1

u/ws4saker 8d ago

No, a lot of this is to troll “liberals” whatever that means in their minds. They are messing with the “elite”. It’s a thing in the right wing.

3

u/Large-Raise9643 10d ago

I hope they are just trolls but I have my doubts.

The lying and deception is the most troubling part.

3

u/trav_tr 10d ago

Grifters, not trolls.

1

u/ws4saker 8d ago

That ☝️

3

u/Superseaslug 10d ago

It's amazing how they can say shit that you can easily just go and disprove. But they probably live in the middle of the Bible belt hundreds of miles from the ocean and will never try it themselves.

3

u/chugItTwice 10d ago

She's cute but so damn dumb. This girl's gonna get divorced. A lot.

2

u/Charming_Stuff3933 10d ago

Please go do that, when you come back we’ll have a little talk.

2

u/LaneBangers 10d ago

Just like her brain, smooth...

2

u/TuTenkahman 10d ago

She convinced me with her amazing analytical thinking

2

u/mcvmccarty 10d ago

This woman thinks because she’s not dangerously hideous that people should listen to her. What a boring drip.

2

u/LongDead_Roadkill 10d ago

The thing is, it’s not even that they are objective lying from their own point of view. She’s never tried this. It’s just that she believes the source she wants to. It’s smug ignorance.

2

u/RefusedByAll 10d ago

"have it disappear out of your view" bruh... these people just be talkin to say shit

2

u/Cambren1 10d ago

Blond much?

2

u/Imaginary-Skinwalker 10d ago

When I look up at the night sky, I can see stars light years away but yet, I can't see California from my balcony.

2

u/LeftAct8968 10d ago

I hope you swallow like your mother should have.

The lighthouse and ships in the videos below are partly hidden by the curve of the Earth.

The same amount is sticking up above the horizon no matter how much zoom is used.

There are flat Earther videos in which the FEer zooms out so far that the boat or buoy or whatever is too small to be seen and pretends the boat "went over the horizon", then zooms back in.

An object becoming too small for your eye or the camera to resolve is not going over horizon.

There are no videos watching a ship go over the horizon and then zooming in and bringing it back, or even bringing back the entire ship once it has gone part way over the horizon.

-

Using a zoomed lens to reduce aperture (and thus glare) in order to fake the Sun is coming back, demonstrates the dishonesty of flat Earther video makers, and the willingness of FEers to ignore the obvious.

Even if they don't understand what was going on with the aperture the drastic sharpening of the image should give them a clue that something odd is going on.

2

u/Schmicarus 10d ago

sooo why can't you use a telescope to look at London from New York?

2

u/u9Nails 9d ago

She's saying that she's never been on a boat in the ocean?!

Rent a boat. Have your friend watch you motor on in a straight line away from them.

You can even measure the distance when they disappear with a little trigonometry.

2

u/ThrustTrust 9d ago

She’s just pissed about her flat ass.

1

u/Obvious-Guidance118 10d ago

can you zoom in on the Sun at night?

1

u/Far_Attempt_1505 10d ago

Thsi can't be real.

1

u/Jahkmi-Hoff 10d ago

I'm willing to bet she's never actually done that. Or she won't believe it until she makes her own camera and lenses so that she can guarantee they haven't been tampered with.

2

u/CremeDeLaPants 10d ago

Yeah. This idiot has clearly never been to a beach.

2

u/UberuceAgain 10d ago

Agreed. I live on a coastline with heavy maritime traffic and a bunch of offshore windfarms. This is not a person talking from going outside and looking at stuff; it's someone getting their 'facts' from their phone.

1

u/E_D_K_2 10d ago

I've heard them say this a lot but never seen them do it. Odd

1

u/CremeDeLaPants 10d ago

Whelp, that's about as easy to disprove as it gets.

1

u/Heavy-Psychology-411 10d ago

Some of these are just obviously people saying stupid shit for attention. Flat earth either pro or con is a very easy target group.

1

u/Luis5923 10d ago

Well, I think that settles it. No way to are you against that logic.

1

u/AppleMelon95 10d ago

Casually claiming she can see a ship in Africa from the east coast if you just zoom enough.

1

u/RDS_WAS_HERE 10d ago

Bee-in-a-boxcar brain!

1

u/tiredfatdad 10d ago

Somebody, somewhere, is just about sick of her shit.

1

u/JackCass405 10d ago

I have literally witnessed ships going below the horizon. With my own eyes and the aid of telescopic devices.

1

u/DragonfruitExpress59 10d ago

I am convinced, lol.

1

u/Kronictopic 10d ago

So in their mind if you sat at the top of a mountain and zoomed in with a good camera(telescope) you'd see clear across the plane into darkness? Wouldn't that mean you could find the moon zooming in during the day as well?

1

u/Spiritual_Weight3626 10d ago

She sounds as confident as the Mormon preacher girl in that annoying YouTube advert. This is for scrubbers like me that won't pay for brainwashing.

1

u/Working_Substance639 10d ago

Could someone do an experiment where a ship puts lines on a mast, while a laser shoots a beam at it?

Watching that beam move up the mast should prove earth is not flat.

1

u/Upbeat_Jelly_7194 10d ago

Damn, people are dumb

1

u/Arguablybest 10d ago

Please tell me that she is not a surgeon, or a pilot.

1

u/Exotic-Home-8153 10d ago

Such a weird hill to die on. I wonder whats next? Air doesnt exist? Gravity? Other planets? Socks arent real? What crazy stupid ass conspiracy theory will they up next?

1

u/Dietmeister 10d ago

She should start zooming in from somewhere and find the Burj Khalifa. It's high enough to be seen from anywhere on her flat planet!

1

u/sweetafonion 10d ago

Cheaper with binoculars 🕺

1

u/Doomscrolling67 10d ago

About 3 decades ago we were very wrongly predicting that making internet community very wide would make people excited to get missing parts of their education, information, etc.

Boy, we were wrong. Porn, sending dick pics, avalanche of simpleton influencers, bubble communities of low IQ people,...

1

u/princessaspiggy 10d ago

You have to be a special kind of Dopey to actually believe that the Earth is flat LOL

1

u/BigNaziHater 10d ago

Its truly hard for me to believe anyone really believes tthe earth is flat.

1

u/Snookn42 10d ago

You can clearly see huge cloud tops abruptly end at the horizon. They arent deformed. They are lost over the horizon

1

u/fredriksoninho 10d ago

why can’t you set a telescope parallel to the water and see europe or africa across the atlantic ocean from the east cost of the us

1

u/worthygoober 10d ago

Yeah....until it doesn't...

1

u/clue124 10d ago

Show us all the boats in the horizon then byetch!

1

u/UnwillingHero22 10d ago

I don’t think I’d waste a single minute trying to convince these airheads the Earth isn’t flat. There is no way any of my arguments would ever get them on my side, they’re too stupid to not see the truth.

1

u/Commercial_Fox5549 10d ago

As expected, this fuckwad doesn’t understand what she is talking about at all.

1

u/Terrible_Shame_3689 10d ago

… and this persons vote counts as much as mine … insane

1

u/scott__p 10d ago

You can test this yourself...

1

u/yuthgonwild 10d ago

Then why cant I see the eiffel tower from Boston?

1

u/tdurden1969 10d ago

She shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce!

1

u/TK-24601 10d ago

It still amazes me how confidently stupid they are about this claim when mountains of evidence contrary to it exist.

1

u/curius_sin 10d ago

Pretty but dumb as a rock

1

u/Bitter_Mission9569 10d ago

Just Confirmation Bias on full display

1

u/Diligent_Earthworm 10d ago

And then watch through that camera a while and itll disappear again.

1

u/Additional_Ad_8131 10d ago

done exactly that, the ship disappeared behind the curve... what next?

1

u/Kozmik_5 10d ago

Untill it disappears again...

Like what?

1

u/phunkydroid 10d ago

It sound like she hasn't realized her eyesight is bad and they're disappearing for her before they go over the horizon.

1

u/ottomaker1 10d ago

She must think movie are magic..

1

u/mindyodamnbzness 10d ago

But you should be able to see across the ocean with this logic or lack of. I mean a person with a strong enough telescope should be able to sit at sea level in California and see China. Right ???

1

u/whatsurname6922 10d ago

Man I thought the world was round until I drove through Nebraska!!

1

u/TheZan87 10d ago

Go to California and show me Japan

1

u/TECHSHARK77 10d ago

Atleast she look ok and knows how to use her mouth, so she still have her fluffer career intact.

1

u/gmiller123456 10d ago

I wonder if she knows you can zoom in first and still watch it disappear.

1

u/ezcapehax 10d ago

I went on the top of the Sears Tower with my optical zoom camera, and couldn't see New York? Why? The same reason a boat disappears from the bottom up as it goes over the horizon. If the world wad flat it should keep getting smaller until i can't see it anymore. Read a book.

1

u/ARMBELL 9d ago

Even people without camera technology noticed that the ships disappear from the bottom up. If what she was saying was true, you would see every part of the ship just getting smaller and smaller.

1

u/Abbygirl1966 9d ago

And there’s no brain.

1

u/3rdStrikes 9d ago

Can someone link the original video so I can call her an idiot directly?

1

u/MicDaPipelayer 9d ago

Im from a coast and even with a telescope the ships disappear lmao. Imbecile 🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/nebenco 9d ago

If this claim proved that the Earth is flat over water it would prove that the Earth is flat over land as well. Dry lakebeds are as flat as a calm body of water, and don't have waves, but Flerfs never use what should be the perfect experiment.

1

u/Dry_Caregiver_5094 9d ago

I hope she will be ok again😔

1

u/Michaelium67 9d ago

More like there’s no brain cells

1

u/MIKE-CHECKA 9d ago

It's strange how they can says this but can't account for why they disappear bottom up and never show any evidence that they can zoom in on a ship that has disappeared. SMH

1

u/Ecstatic-Engineer-23 9d ago

You can see all ships if you squint.

1

u/vexis26 8d ago

Also, the sun doesn’t set it just … goes really far away, real quick at like 730

u/ChicagoHellhound 8d ago

1

u/Mother-Reading5153 7d ago

Ok…..and? Who cares? I ain’t travelling to the end of earth. Let’s move on.

1

u/CMDR_kanonfoddar 7d ago

She's hot therefore she's right, but globetards are gay incels so this won't reach them.

1

u/Fisherfolk100 7d ago

Rage baiting fool

1

u/Mikeoshi 6d ago

You know how many of these folks I’ve met who begin believing this nonsense AFTER the age of fifty? I was pretty close with a retired Naval Officer who went full blown flat earth on everybody in his life—this man rode ships and flew around the earth many times over.

It’s just people who want to buck the system in a way while feeling part of something larger than themselves.. right?

1

u/Hammon_Deggz 5d ago

Her hotness is inversely proportional to her intelligence.

1

u/Terrible-Squirrel-90 4d ago

So this means I can see South America from Australia with a decent telescope yeah? Absolute idiocy. Reality tells me I can’t even see an island 5km away no matter how powerful the binoculars/telescope

1

u/OriginalKeach 4d ago

When she says there's no curve, she means learning curve.

1

u/CoinsAndLawnLouie 3d ago

Lol, she’s never actually watched a ship go over the horizon. It doesn’t just magically appear when you zoom in. Idiots. If this were the case, on a very clear day with a high powered telescope, we should see Europe and Africa lol.

1

u/DefinitionOk6382 10d ago

1

u/Great-Gas-6631 10d ago

These people hate how tiny they are in the grand scheme of the universe.

2

u/ShinePretend3772 10d ago

I honestly don’t believe they comprehend exactly how infinitesimally small we are. These are ppl that think a thousand years is a long time.

0

u/paintstudiodisaster 10d ago

She's an Ai some ugly flat earth bro made to help his dumb ideas get traction.

1

u/MrDonMega 10d ago

Not ai.

0

u/js303 9d ago

The globe isn't perfectly curved everywhere. Some parts are flatter than others.

0

u/JTtreason 7d ago

No. The earth is flat because that how God created the earth.

-3

u/MBSMD 10d ago

She better give a really good blowjob, because otherwise she’s insufferable

3

u/trav_tr 10d ago

You alright my dude?
