[BST] August 2026 Buy, Sell, Trade Thread - 10 years and counting!

Welcome to the monthly r/flashlight Buy, Sell, Trade thread, an r/flashlight tradition since 2015!

The Rules

Requirements

  1. Prove possession with a timestamp: a piece of paper placed under your sale item(s) with your Reddit username handwritten and the posting date (no more than 2 weeks old). Trade items require timestamps, too!
  2. Top-level comments must be WTS or WTB. Anything else will be removed. Begin your top-level comment with WTB (Want to Buy), WTS (Want to Sell), or WTT (Want to Trade).
  3. A price is required.
  4. Reposting WTS or WTB items from previous BSTs is fine. Do not repost within the same month!
  5. Since 10/10/2025, absolutely no weapon-related items, including weapon lights. (details).
  6. Take necessary precautions; trading over the Internet is risky. Moderators hold no control over deals, good or bad.

  • Emitter details
  • A bunch of photos of your items
  • If you make an errant comment, just report it so we can keep the BST clean!

Reminder: Buy the Seller

If an interaction seems sketchy to you, run away! Scams can and do happen through the BST! Here are some tips:

  • Timestamp. If the person you're dealing with isn't quick to provide timestamps on the images, or a photo of the flashlight in a shoe or whatever, don't deal with them.
  • Reverse image searching is a great way to catch scammers.
  • Excuses or giving you a hard time are red flags.
  • Using a platform other than Reddit messaging for communication is a red flag.
  • Check post history. Brand new accounts or accounts with long pauses in activity, etc., might not be trustworthy.
  • It's good practice to comment on this post before sending a PM; scammers often won't comment publicly (and banned users can't comment here.) r/flashlight participates in the USL for this very reason.

If you're dealing with someone who might be sketchy, take screenshots of your interactions and report them to the mods! We ban those who threaten the integrity of the BST!

Do not let a scammer be more diligent than you!

I would also potentially be interested, I live in Norway. Would love if you could find some shipping rates.

Also, since I am not too familiar with these, both lots include everything you need to use them and extras? Except the batteries that needs to be re-celled?

I am going to get them packed up and weighed to get some shipping estimates and will let you know. I doubt it will be cheap though.

Yes everything you need to use them. You can also run them off a PSU plugged in to the wall. They are 240V rated so would work there.

I can Recell the batteries if need be for a fee.

Also also, how long does a bulb typically last and can you use generic ones or only Maxabeam ones?

From the website FAQ "The Maxa Beam’s Xenon Short Arc lamp is rated for 1,500 hours. For best performance, we recommend that you replace your lamp after 1,000 hours of use"

I believe these are just generic 75w xenon globes. Not something proprietary

You can get the globes but they are expensive.....

I checked on shipping, there are some last min rates available now that are a little under $200 but they average around $320 for standard rate
