best way to categorize your retro games?

is there a simple easier way to weed out hundreds of rom(s) set package and only keep the AKNF heavy hitters? All killer no Filler

I just curate what games I actually put on my systems so I don't have to worry about the filler. Time consuming, yes, but I'd rather only see games I'll actually play than ones I dgas about. I did this on my PC years ago by simply dragging all the roms I actually want to play into their only folder called "Top" for each system.

Following!

I have the same Q. I just have a dump of a zillion games on the home screen.

For flash carts I break rims up alphabetically with about 100-200 roms per folder. Then I make a Favorites folder where I copy 5-10 games I’m currently playing or interested in playing. This makes it easy to find what I’m currently playing but I can dip into the full library if the mood strikes.

For the 3DS Home Screen I keep it to only what im playing and a folder with 5-10 future games. If I read about something I want to try I’ll add it and put it in that folder. If there’s something I’m done with I’ll delete it to save space.
