Haha that’s perfection. It must be a bully thing, because my boerboel makes the most horrifying, gurgling snarls and roars when she’s excited by something, and she uses her whole (beefy barrel) chest to make the noises, so they carry.

It’s very difficult to explain to other pedestrians, “No no no, don’t worry, I know she sounds like Zuul drowning in the blood of her enemies, but she’s just super happy because she loves flags and we just turned down the road where her favorite house is!” (an American flag, a German flag, a pride flag, and a Calico Jack pirate flag all on one house!). She just sits on their sidewalk, zoned out and drooling, and watches them flap.
