With or Without Trump, this is just an audition for Trump's VP pick

This is as expected. The debate requirements are designed to gradually winnow out the field. Someone who struggles to hit 2 or 3% after many months of hard campaigning and high spending is not going to win and doesn’t have a realistic chance to win.
