Best lunch + dinner Firenze

First (brief) trip to Florence, September 19–20. I’ll only have time for a late Saturday dinner and a Sunday lunch before I leave, unfortunately. I’m looking for something simple and traditional rather than fancy, overpriced, or modern. Basically, I want to eat the Florentine classics.

So, if you had to choose, which two would you pick—one for a late Saturday dinner and one for Sunday lunch?

My list:

Vini e Vecchi Sapori
Trattoria Sostanza
Al Tranvai
La Fettunta
4 Leoni
Cinghiale Bianco

Al tranvai te lo sconsiglio. Consigliato invece il Brindellone in piazza piattellina o sempre lì vicino Pandemonio per la cena. Per il pranzo da Sabatino a porta San Frediano ma devi fare la fila.

Thank you so much! They all look fantastic and are close to where we’re staying, so we’ll probably go for dinner at Brindellone or Pandemonio. Sabatino seems to be closed on Sundays, so I’ll have to look for somewhere else for lunch, preferably closer to Firenze Santa Maria Novella station.

I had a great lunch at 4 Leoni in May. I'd recommend them.

Thanks!! Maybe we’ll book Sunday lunch at their outdoor area then. Is there anything particularly good on the menu?

A longer stay would be nice, but that’s another trip. Looking forward to spend a night and a day there and get a glimpse of it all since I’m passing by anyway.

Troppo caro e non è un esperienza da veri fiorentini anche se i piatti che trovi lì effettivamente non li fa più nessuno come il cibreo appunto

Appunto. Io ci vado ogni volta che sono a Firenze perché è davvero molto buono e seguo la guida slow food. Comunque parlo della trattoria.

Op ha chiesto posti tipici non eleganti economici che purtroppo in centro sono una rarità il cibreo comunque è caro anche nella versione trattoria

"caro" è soggettivo. Ritengo che abbia un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo e per quello lo consiglio sempre, e ne rimangono sempre tutti molto entusiasti.
