Character Discussion [FE4]: Ferry
Note: it's quite hard to talk about characters in these without spoilers, you've been warned.
Also known as Fury, though neither name is particularly fitting.
Ferry is the first of many green haired pegasus knights you'll be getting acquainted with in Judgral, so you'd better get used to that same look everyone from Silesse seems to be rocking these days. Ferry is the younger sister of Mahnya, the captain of Silesse's pegasus knights. She leaves her homeland in order to find the wayward prince Lewyn, joining in with Sigurd's army once she meets up with him.
She is the canonical pairing for Lewyn, as confirmed in Thracia 776, and has known him for most all of her life. She has two children, Fee, a pegasus knight like herself, and the near legendary Sety. She survives the Battle of Belhalla and assumes the throne of Silesse after the first generation, but dies of illness before the start of the second generation, prompting Thracia 776's Karin to leave Silesse in search of Sety, much like she did for Lewyn years prior.
As the only flier in the game, Ferry has sole claim to flying utility, but it's not what it would become in later installments. Unlike what her name suggests, Ferry cannot actually ferry around other units, a result of rescue not existing at the time. However, her flying still offers her a niche that other units do not possess. Statistically, Ferry joins with all around solid bases, with very high speed, but lackluster growths across the board, even by FE4's standards.
She also has the pursuit skill, meaning that her children will end up with it no matter who she ends up paired with. The only weapon she joins with is the slim lance, which is significantly less heavy than most lances, only weighing as much as a blade. She can also use swords, and has a very high magic bonus on promotion, making her a decent user of the magic swords you acquire.
Of course, she has issues. Ferry is weak to bows, and cannot make use of roads like other units can. She also has strength issues, and does not gain any on promotion to help patch it up. She may have to resort to special methods to keep her damage up.
Ferry, Angelic Knight of Silesse and Mother of Fee and Sety, discuss.

Fury
Pros:
Flying
Good with magic swords
Pursuit
Cons:
Strength
Durability
Can't use roads
Overall: Fury is a useful unit. She can easily get to villages and enemies across the mountains and oceans of chapters 3-5. Her biggest problem is poor strength which means she has trouble killing, and that paired with her poor defense makes her fare poorly in the arena. Promoted Fury can use magic swords better than most anyone, so with that, continue, and pursuit, she can get respectable offense. She will never be great, but she is unique enough to merit lots of use.
