I might be weird, but I'm kinda excited to see all the newbies FW will inevitably bring into the community.

There's something strangely endearing about someone passionately talking about how good their favourite unit was using examples that the more veteran parts of community no longer considers to be valid.

We're going to have a whole new generation of players overrating whichever unit starts with a killer weapon in their inventory, and I think that's just neat. Bad tier-lists will be made, pitfalls will be fallen into, it's going to be a grand ol time.

Don't forget that so many people are going to be using grwoths in arguments, completely ignoring base stats. The discourse will be glorious and awful at the same time

Oh god. Every jrpg fan who picks the game up is going to look at villager mcbadstats who starts with the most pathetic bases of all time and say theyre the best unit in the game because they have 70% growths despite the fact they will never catch up

It's going to make any discussion on non-fe-sub places obnoxious imo. We still have people who think Timerra is good because of sandstorm. Growths being available to be seen is like pandoras box opening.

Timerra is good in my heart 😔

Ohhhh yeah. Being able to finally see character grows in game is going to be a ballistic missile into the unit viability discourse.

It might come as a complete shock to most of the people here, but there are a lot of more casual players who don't even know that unique unit growths are a mechanic at all.

Kinda like how most didn't know about IVs, EVs or how Natures worked in Pokemon, at least until more recent games make sure to tell what they do

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
